About Us

Team BCRC
The Texas Mamma Jamma Ride is a ride, not a race, for the whole family. This annual event offers a distance for cyclists of any level: from 13 to 100 miles. All routes are fully supported by enthusiastic volunteers offering drinks, food, bike support and rides for stranded cyclists. Children 8 years old and up can ride if accompanied by an adult. Free training rides are offered all summer as well as fundraising assistance up until the event.

Team "In This Twogether" - Ann & Mark
The Texas Mamma Jamma Ride brings our community together to save and improve the lives of Central Texans with breast cancer. Through this successful, annual event, we raise awareness and funds for the support of breast cancer prevention and services provided by our Beneficiary Agencies. It is our Mission to foster community support for breast cancer services in the Central Texas area and to promote philanthropy and volunteerism.

Breast Cancer Touches Everyone
No breast cancer patient or family member should go through their journey alone. A few minutes of your time, or a few miles on your bike can mean so much to so many! Until we stop breast cancer for good, Mamma Jamma is the best way we know to help our neighbors. The money we raise together ensures another 365 days of earlier detection, proper treatment and helpful hands for hundreds of families like yours and ours.

Beginning in 2004, Nan McRaven, Eugene Sepulveda and Jan Hill met with Central Texas breast cancer agencies and their stakeholders to look for social service gaps in our 9 county area. The group recognized that disease progression in many survivors created a need for increased services in our community, which in turn required increased funding. Following the proven model created by David C. Smith, director of the Hill Country Ride for Aids - the Texas Mamma Jamma Ride was born. That model involved 10 local agencies working together to "grow the resource pie". In 2009, the seed that was planted 5 years earlier grew to fruition and the Inaugural Mamma Jamma Ride was held and exceeded all expectations - and raised over $550,000.

It's time to ride on. Come Join Us!!
